We are currently compiling catalogue raisonnes for two of the early artists of Cragsmoor, Charles Courtney Curran and Helen Marie Turner.

Cragsmoor was founded in the early 1870's by artists who wanted to escape from the big city in the summer. This lovely village has been called home by artists such as William H. Beard, LeGrand Botsford, Carroll Butler Brown, Winfield Scott Clime, Emma Lampert Cooper, Colin Campbell Cooper, Frederick S. Dellenbaugh, Edward Gay, Eliza Greatorex, Edward Lamson Henry, Charles Courtney Curran, Maria Judson Strean, Johanna Hailman, Josephine Paddock, Frances Wells Henry, Eugene Higgins, George Inness, Jr. Arthur I.
